Kuki Shinobu is now playable in Genshin Impact, but Travelers should avoid these blunders when utilizing the 4-star character.
Kuki was the first Electro character in Genshin Impact to have the ability to heal. Unfortunately, split scaling affects her healing and other kits. HP scales Kuki Shinobu’s healing, but Elemental Mastery boosts it. Her Elemental Skill damage scales with ATK, but her Ultimate with HP.
This can be tricky because players must choose between ATK, HP, and Elemental Mastery. Travelers should avoid these common blunders when employing Kuki Shinobu in Genshin Impact.
Underestimating Elemental Mastery on her
Now that Dendro is available, Kuki Shinobu needs Elemental Mastery for its extra items. Before, it felt pointless and out of place. She is the ideal character for the Hyperbloom Elemental reaction, which is powerful and can be used in an F2P team with Dendro MC, Xingqiu, Kuki Shinobu, and any DPS.
Players should also give her Elemental Mastery weaponry. Key of Khaj-Nisut improves her HP, Elemental Mastery, and team buffs, making it a good pick. Swords such as Freedom-Sworn and Iron Sting are also suitable for her.
Including Her In The Wrong Teams
Kuki is a standard healer, but using her only for that is pointless. Shinobu’s consistent Electro application makes her ideal for Hyperbloom and Superconduct responses. Her periodical Elemental Skill hit also makes her a good candidate for supportive Artifacts like 4-Tenacity of the Millelith or weapons like Key of Khaj-Nisut or Freedom-Sworn, which require continual hits or response triggers.
Even if Basket Random players shouldn’t design a team around a healer, Kuki Shinobu should be in a party where she can shine because she has so much to contribute.
Holding Back On Maximizing Her Level
Since Kuki is a healer, leveling her up wasn’t important. Players should maximize her level now since she’s very viable for the Hyperbloom reaction. Because Genshin Impact‘s elemental responses scale with the trigger character’s level, increasing Kuki will enhance her Hyperbloom damage.
Additionally, the Ex-Shrine Maiden will have greater HP, which will improve healing and reduce HP issues in time-limited content like the Spiral Abyss.
Building Her On ATK
Kuki Shinobu’s Elemental Skill damage scales with ATK, however even if built on ATK/Electro/Crit, she deals medium damage. Therefore, building the Ex-Shrine Maiden on ATK or Electro DMG is not worth it. Other stats she needs are beneficial for players.
Players should avoid focusing on Genshin Impact weaponry that increase her offensive stats. This covers ATK, Critical Rate, and Critical Damage. Since Skill heals, Kuki Shinobu doesn’t need Energy Recharge either.
Not Knowing Her Best Damage Build
Which damage build is optimal for Kuki Shinobu? To maximize Electro Healer damage, players should construct her to deal as much Elemental response damage as possible.
Elemental Mastery on her Timepiece, Goblet, and Circlet does this. While 4-Tenacity of the Millelith is great for the team, you can use Kuki Shinobu to deal Hyperbloom to maximize personal damage, making 4-Flower of Paradise Lost her closest friend.
Not Knowing How To Maximize Her Healing
Shinobu suffers from split scaling, as mentioned. To enhance healing in Genshin Impact, players should focus on building Kuki Shinobu’s HP and Healing Bonus. Players should use 4-Maiden Beloved or 2-Maiden + 2-Ocean-Hued Clam for the Artifact set. Freedom-Sworn, Primordial Jade Cutter, or Iron Sting should be her weapon.
Elemental Skill heals Kuki Shinobu. Her Skill ring heals every 1.5 seconds for 12 seconds. Players will receive eight ticks of healing after casting her Elemental Skill at C0.
Focusing Too Much On Her Burst
Players can use Kuki Shinobu’s Elemental Burst in Genshin Impact to form a small circle that causes damage for a few seconds before fading. She will damage seven times with her maximum HP in her AOE. Even if players construct Kuki Shinobu on HP/Electro/Crit, this ability’s damage isn’t worth losing her healing numbers.
Thus, Kuki Shinobu need not be built on Electro or Energy Recharge. Thus, Energy Recharge weapons are not suitable for her. The Ex-Shrine Maiden’s Elemental Burst only triggers Elemental reactions, not support.
Upgrading The Wrong Talent
As Kuki Shinobu is a support in Genshin Impact, players won’t need to level her Normal Attack. Her Elemental Skill, which heals and applies electro, is her best. Leveling her Elemental Burst is fine, but Travelers shouldn’t focus on it.
The Talent priority for improving Kuki Shinobu is:
- Elemental Skill
- Elemental Burst
- Normal Attack
Not Managing Her HP
Kuki Shinobu’s Elemental Skill uses 30% of her HP. The HP loss from this ability won’t drop below 20% of her maximum HP. This may seem intimidating, but keeping Kuki Shinobu’s HP below 50% increases her healing and Burst damage.
Kuki gains a 15% Healing Bonus from her Genshin Impact passive when her HP is 50% or less. If she has low HP, her Elemental Burst will last three and a half seconds instead of two.
Ignoring Ocean-Hued Clam As A Healer
Those who want Kuki Shinobu as a healer should have Ocean-Hued Clam. Kuki will deal 10k + 10k + 7k damage on every Skill cycle if built on HP/HP/Healing Bonus.
After unlocking her second Constellation in Genshin Impact, her Skill longevity increases, resulting in additional healing. She will trigger her Skill 10 times instead of eight ticks of healing and harm.
