Must-Have Information

 

Concurring to Islamic lessons, the history of Umrah dates back to the 622 Advertisement, when the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) asked Muslims from Mecca to emigrate to Medina to be secure from Quraysh abuses. 

 

While the holy city of Medina brings the peace and freedom necessary to the lives of Muslims, the greatest desire to visit their homeland and perform Umrah lies in their hearts. In the 6th year  AH (628 AD), the Messenger (PSL) of Allah SWT had a dream in which he performed Umrah. When the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) described the dream to his companions, they took it as a sign from Allah SWT and prompted the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) to perform the Umrah. 

 

So the Messenger (PBUH) of Allah SWT, together with 1400 companions, headed towards Makkah. However, when the idolaters heard of the giant caravan, they thought that the Muslims had indeed come to attack them.

Considering this, as soon as the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) arrived on the outskirts of Mecca, he sent a messenger to meet the rulers of the Quraysh to announce that they had come only for the purpose of performing Umrah in peace and harmony. However, the  Quraysh cowards refused to let them in, and so  Muslims had no choice but to wait in Hudaibiyyah because the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) did not want to enter the Holy Kaaba. Thereafter, diplomatic negotiations took place between the rulers of the Quraysh and the Prophet Muhammad (SAW), which resulted in both sides signing a 10-year peace treaty known as the Treaty of Hudaibiyyah. According to the terms of the treaty, in 229 AD, the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), along with 2,000 companions, including women and children, entered Mecca to perform the first Umrah in Islamic history teacher.Ibn al-Qayyim said: “He performed ‘Umrah four times after Hijra, four times’ Umrah, all in Dhu’l-Qi’dah. The primary was the ‘Umrah of Al-Hudaybiyah, which was the primary of these within the year 6 Ah, but the mushrikin avoided him from coming to the House (Kaaba), so he sacrificed (the camel) when the child was born.  His way was blocked in al-Hudaybiyah. He and his companions shaved their heads and left the state of ihram, and returned to Medina the same year. The second is ‘Umrah performed the following year when he went to Mecca and stayed there for three (days), after which he left after completing his ‘Umrah.’
