Skyrim is known for having a lot of bugs and problems that players have to deal with, but some of them can be very helpful.
Skyrim is one of the best role-playing games ever made, but it is also known for having a lot of bugs and glitches even more than 10 years after it came out. Players can clip through the world, get stuck in the level geometry, not be able to finish tasks, or even have their horses fly through the air. Even though many glitches and bugs in Skyrim can be annoying, there are also some that can be very helpful.
Of course, first-time players shouldn’t use these bugs, since most of them take away a lot of the fun of starting out in Skyrim. Instead, they are best for players who want to play the game at its hardest level or who want to see how far they can push the game’s features on a second or third playthrough. This is especially true now that Skyrim: Anniversary Edition has just come out. Many fans will probably go back to the game to check out the new stuff.
Unlimited Gold
Given how important it is to have as much gold as possible in Skyrim, it’s easy to see why a glitch that lets you get as much gold as you want would be a huge help. Even though playing the game the right way is enough to make a small fortune, some players still want to get as much gold as possible without putting in too much work. This can be done by cheating the game so that a lot of gold that spawns in a chest in Dawnstar is brought back.
The steps are pretty easy. First, players must find the shopkeeper Ahkari and immediately save the game. After that, players should attack the shopkeeper and then reload their save. Then, they should open and close her inventory before going to the mines next to the jarl’s house. Every time this is done, a chest with 500 gold will appear there. Players can farm this way for a long time to get as much gold as they want as long as they don’t use the Unofficial Skyrim Patch.
Horse Tilting
Horse Tilting is one of the game’s most famous bugs, and many players have used it to great effect. It not only lets players move around the map very quickly. But it also looks so stupid that people can’t help but laugh at how ridiculous this whole thing is. As the name of this bug suggests, players should try to find a steep cliff edge where their horse can stand at an odd angle.
After this first step is done, players should switch to third-person view if they haven’t already. After that, the Dragonborn should get off his horse while the player opens and shuts the menu over and over again until the Dragonborn is out of sight. When players get to this point, they should just save and load to see their character get flung across the map at record speeds. It’s a pretty cool sight.
Infinite Jumping
With all the crazy bugs in Skyrim, the idea of being able to jump forever might not sound like the most interesting one. But if a player wants to get through certain places without having to worry about walls or other arbitrary boundaries. All they have to do is use the “Infinite Jumping” glitch.
It’s a pretty simple glitch: players have to jump on a hollow item like a basket, jump on it, grab it quickly. And press the jump button over and over again to keep going up. Players should be smart about how they use this glitch. Since there’s nothing to stop them from dying if they end up going up too far.
Armor Duplication
One of the most famous mods for Skyrim is the Unofficial Skyrim Patch, which fixes a lot of problems in the game. But it also fixes some bugs that players can use for fun. And players who don’t want to use this mod can try the armor duplication glitch.
For this trick to work, players must use a mannequin and put armor on it. Then, players should put this gear back on and leave the area without leaving the equip screen. When players return, the dummy will have a copy of that armor on it. Keep in mind that magical versions of a certain piece of armor will have an unenchanted copy. But fans won’t really mind that much.
Infinite Power Attack
In this game, one of the best ways to do damage is with a power move. With good timing, players in this game can use power strikes without using any stamina. Which is useful for a lot of different reasons.
To do the same, players just need to start a power move when the animation starts. When you do this, your next power moves won’t use any stamina. Which helps a lot when you’re trying to beat stronger enemies at lower levels.
Selling Merchants Their Own Items
This glitch is one of the funniest things players can do in Skyrim. Because it lets them sell a merchant’s stock back to them! To do this, you have to use the menu in a clever way. But the effect is worth it just for how funny it is.
In the buy/sell menu, players should choose the type of an item from their inventory that they can sell to a merchant. Players should drag the item over the merchant’s area while holding down the left mouse button and then press the action button while letting go of the mouse button. This turns on the glitch, and players can press the action button over and over again to sell their own things to the merchant.
Unlimited Scroll Use
If a player knows how to do the trick described above. They can use the same stems to use scrolls as much as they want. Before doing most of the steps in the previous mistake, they need to put the scroll in a container.
But instead of hitting the action button, players should press left click and right click to equip the scroll and put it back in their inventory at the same time. Now, the paper can be used as many times as the player wants, but only if they only have one copy of it.
Super Leveling In Helgen
The beginning of Skyrim has become famous because of the game’s history and the memes that came out of it. It puts players in danger of being killed right before a dragon burns down the city of Helgen. With the help of an Imperial or Stormcloak guard, they just make it out alive.
Players have found, though, that those troops can also help them quickly level up their sneaking and fighting skills early on in the game. When a player sneaks up on a character and either pickpockets them or attacks them over and over, they gain experience quickly. Some players have reached ridiculously high levels before even leaving Skyrim’s intro.
No Cooldown On Dragon Shouts
Dragon screams were one of the most important things that Skyrim added to The Elder Scrolls. The player can learn and use a number of powerful shouts in Skyrim by using the power of the dragon language. The only limit is a cooldown time.
But once a player has an Amulet of Talos and gear that makes their alchemy better. They can make a potion of fortify healing and drink it before taking off their Amulet of Talos and putting it back on. Each time the player does this, the amulet’s ability to reduce the shout cooldown will get weaker. This can be done over and over until the player has no cooldowns in the way.
Stealing With A Basket
Since there are many ways to make a character in Skyrim, many of them are not good for stealing things. This can make it harder to get some gear or finish the Thieves Guild questline in Tunnel Rush. There is a very useful trick that only needs a basket or bucket to help those players get through those parts.
To do the trick, players just have to put the basket over an NPC’s head. This causes a glitch that stops the character from seeing anything the player steals. It works a lot better than most people would think. And it seems strange that a simple knitted basket is one of the best tools for a thief in Skyrim.
Universal Free Housing
Getting a house can be very helpful, especially in the new survival mode for Skyrim: Anniversary Edition. Which makes players sleep and turns off fast movement. There is a very helpful glitch that speeds up the process for players who don’t want to wait until they have a small fortune to buy all the houses in the area.
First, players have to get the amount of gold they’ll need to buy a house. Even though they won’t use that choice. Then, players must talk to the town’s steward and choose to buy the house before leaving the chat just before selecting “I’ll take it.”
Then, players must choose the choice, leave the conversation, use the Slow Time shout, put all of their money in a nearby container, and then return to the conversation. This will make it possible for the player to buy the house without the servant being able to take their money.
Playing As Both A Werewolf And A Vampire
When you play Skyrim as a werewolf or vampire lord, you can do a lot of different things. Both have their own skill trees and special powers, and a bug lets players be both at the same time.
Players must already be vampire lords and have Serena as a follower in order to do this. The player must then use the Companions questline to turn into a werewolf. The player then has to turn into a vampire lord and drink from the spring right away to become a werewolf. If it worked, the player will wake up as a werewolf and then change into a vampire lord.
Then, players have to change back to their normal form before talking to Serena to become a vampire lord. So, they will get the best of both worlds and won’t have to eat as vampires.
Item Duplication
Duplicating things is one way to make sure that a player’s character is very strong in Skyrim, or just to save some trouble on a second or third playthrough. Duplicating Skyrim’s legendary items, of which a player is only meant to be able to get one per playthrough, can be very useful, and it’s not hard to do.
For the glitch to work, players must first have the thing they want to copy and any follower. Then, players must go to any door that leads to a waiting screen when opened. Players should put all the items they want to copy on one side of the door and tell their follower to pick them up. The person must then quickly go through the door and right back out again. Because it will only work if they do it quickly enough. If the glitch is done right, the things will be back where they were when they were dropped and in the follower’s inventory.
